What is the purpose of the partner conversation?
A short conversation with the VoiceboxMD team. We go over what you need and how a partnership could work, whether you are a reseller, an EHR or EMR company, an implementation partner, a hospital, or a practice.
How does VoiceboxMD handle HIPAA?
A signed Business Associate Agreement (BAA) is included on every plan, including the free trial. Audio is deleted within 7 days and each deletion is recorded in an audit trail. No patient information goes into analytics. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Controls are aligned with SOC 2 criteria, but VoiceboxMD is not SOC 2 certified.
Which EHR systems does VoiceboxMD work with?
Any EHR that accepts typed text, including Epic, Oracle Health (Cerner), eClinicalWorks, athenahealth, MEDITECH, Veradigm (Allscripts) and NextGen. The Windows and Mac apps type live dictation at the cursor and place a finished note into the field you are in. There is no EHR API connection: VoiceboxMD does not use HL7 or FHIR.
How does VoiceboxMD handle medical vocabulary?
VoiceboxMD uses a medical speech model, 26 specialty settings that each add a starter vocabulary, and custom vocabulary for the terms you use. The ambient AI scribe turns the visit conversation into a structured note, such as SOAP or H&P, and on the Power and Premium plans it also suggests ICD-10 and CPT codes.
Can VoiceboxMD be deployed on-premises?
No. VoiceboxMD is a cloud service. Clinicians use the Windows, Mac, iOS, Android and web apps, which connect to it over encrypted connections. There is no on-premises or hybrid version.
